How the counter code works

Three kinds of code can reach your counter: a creator's collab voucher, a customer's discount, and a sharing reward, which starts with RW. They all go through one page, Redeem a code, under Redeem in your dashboard.

Scanning the QR

There is no scan button inside Muchsy — your phone's own camera does the work. Open the camera app, point it at the customer's QR code and tap the link that appears. It opens Redeem a code with the code already filled in; check it and press Redeem code.

Typing it instead

No camera, or a QR that won't read? The customer can reveal the code under their QR, and you type it in the box. Capitals, dashes and spaces don't matter: JS4F-EB69, js4f eb69 and JS4FEB69 are the same code.

What you'll see

• A collab voucher starts the creator's deadline: their time to post or deliver begins at the scan.
• A discount shows exactly what to give the customer, and who brought them in.
• A reward shows what to hand over to the person who shared your discount.
• Each code works once. A code that was already used, has expired or doesn't exist gets the same answer: Invalid, expired, or already-redeemed code.

Staff phones

Your team doesn't need your password. On the same page, under Staff devices, press Create a staff link and open that link once on the till tablet or a staff phone — or point that device's camera at the QR shown. The device can then redeem codes and nothing else. The link is shown only once, and Switch off stops a device whenever you like.
